IOP guests have the opportunity to utilize sessions facilitated by a licensed High Watch clinician to better understand problematic patterns as they work to maintain their sobriety in the community. If you or a loved one is struggling with the effects of mental illness or addiction, you might find the structured setting of an online intensive outpatient program (IOP) beneficial. Online IOP treatment removes the individual from all the temptations and triggers from society for a prolonged period. If a patient returns to their previous way of life immediately after treatment, they are at risk for relapse.
At High Watch she utilizes these advanced modalities to help guests work through their trauma and addiction. She believes in the importance of 12-step recovery as well as other evidence-based practice in preventing relapse, which is a central focus of her work. Dr. Boris believes that guests of High Watch should receive holistic care for more than just their mental health and addiction needs. He believes that their physical health is equally important in ensuring that guests are able to manage their addiction successfully.
They offer inpatient, intervention services, an extended care program, IOP, transitional sober living for women, and aftercare support. For clients who require a more flexible schedule, High Watch additionally offers online Telehealth IOP and AA meetings. Each client in the inpatient program receives an individual bio-psycho-social evaluation to create an customized treatment plan that’s right for their needs. Each client is assigned an experienced 12-Step coach to work with in a one on one setting. High Watch has an Empowering Women in Recovery group designed to help women recognize and honor their strength and resiliency and explore ways to parlay those into their recovery journey.

Jerry has over twenty years of experience as an executive with non-profit healthcare organizations. Prior to joining High Watch, Jerry was the Executive Director of a Connecticut-based emergency medical service provider. Jerry is a licensed paramedic and served for many years as the President and Chairman of a large non-profit paramedic service in Southern Connecticut.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Miami. Additionally, Marlene holds certifications in healthcare quality and patient-centered medical homes, serves on several advisory committees, and acts as a supportive, caring mentor to many. Melissa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. She has worked in the psychiatric/behavioral healthcare field since 1996.
